Anna Diamantopoulou and Spanish authorities sign on Monday a package of eight education and training programmes for Spain for 2000-2006, with Community funding of EUR 884 million - Catalonia to get ESF aid

Brussels, 03/11/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, 6 November, Social Affairs Commissioner Anna Diamantopoulou will be signing with Spanish authorities eight education and training programmes financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) for the period 2000-2006. Objective 3 ESF funding in Spain will thus total over EUR 884 million.
