ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) paper

French LA ROCHETTE (turnover FF 3.68 billion in 1999) has announced the sale to the Canadian group TEMBEC (turnover CAN$1.8 billion in 1999) of its paper pulp plants PYRENECELL, CELLURHONE and its supply subsidiaries SEBSO, SEP and SOFOEST. These units together employ 730 for an overall turnover of FF 1.425 billion. The amount of the acquisition will exceed one billion French francs.
