ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) insurance

German group ALLIANZ has announced the acquisition of American NICHOLAS-APPLEGATE, for the sum of $980 million. The transaction mainly provides for additional earn-out payments of up to $1.09 billion based on company performance. The US company managed, end September, $45 billion in assets. With this move, ALLIANZ brings the value of its assets under management to $662 billion.
