Paris, 19/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - Following the reshuffle of the Jospin Government, rendered necessary by the departure of Marine Aubry, Minister for Employment and Solidarity, who resigned to stand for mayor of Lille, the Presidents of the EU Employment and Social Affairs and Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) Councils are changing. Thus, Elisabeth Guigou, who leaves the Ministry of Justice to replace Martine Aubry, will chair her first Employment and Social Affairs Council on 27 and 28 November, whereas Marylise Lebranchu, who leaves her post as Minister of State for SMEs, trade, the crafts and consumers, to become Justice Minister, will chair (with home Affairs Minister Daniel Vaillant) the JHA Council of 30 November and 1 December. Ms. Lebranchu is being replaced by Francois Patriat MP (he was, notably, rapporteur for a draft bill on hunting), who will take part in his first Internal Market/Consumer Council on 30 November.
