ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) distribution

ALPHA-BETA, Greek subsidiary of Belgian group DELHAIZE, is to acquire 100% of the capital of Greek TROFO. After this acquisition, the combined turnover of ALPHA-BETA (turnover EUR 437 million in 1999) and TROFO should exceed 245 billion drachma (EUR 720 million), thus making ALPHA-BETA the second largest distributor in Greece.
