ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) pharmaceuticals

The Belgian group OMEGA PHARMA (expected turnover for 1999/2000 of 58.12 million euro) has announced the takeover of the Dutch firm FAGRON (raw material for fine chemicals, semi-finished preparations, dermatological creams and over-the-counter medicines; 6.4 million euro turnover in 1999). The amount of the transaction is estimated at 13.7 million euro, payable in shares.
