European Parliament defines broad lines of overall strategy to combat AIDS

Strasbourg, 08/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has adopted a resolution presented by the EPP, Socialist, Liberal and United Left Groups and the Union for a Europe of Nations, whereby they invite: a) the "millennium summit" under way in New York to adopt a new initiative to combat AIDS; b) the world economic forum in Melbourne, scheduled for next week, to agree on funding for the fight against this pandemic; 3) the G8 to develop a programme to overcome the indebtedness caused...
