Parliament remains divided over case of "therapeutic cloning" - Careful attitude by European Commission

Strasbourg, 08/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - As was indicated in yesterday's EUROPE (page 8), it is with a very small majority (237 vote against 230) that the European Parliament voted against "therapeutic cloning" (involving the creation of human embryos for research purposes) and invites the United Kingdom to renounce its authorisation.
