Commission approves creation of Volbroker.com, an electronic brokerage joint-venture

Brussels, 02/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved the creation of a joint-venture between the subsidiaries of six major banks (Deutsche Bank UK Holdings Limited, UBS AG, Goldman Sachs Vol-Holdings LLC, Citibank Investments Limited, JP Morgan and Natwest). Called Volbroker.com, the new company will provide the first brokerage service to bring automated trading among banks in foreign currency options.
