02/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - Informed end-July by the trade union Turk-Sen (affiliated to the European Trade Union confederation/ETUC) of the arrest of trade union leaders having taken part in demonstrations relating to bank bankruptcy in the region, ETUC General Secretary Mr. Gabaglio called for their release in a letter to the Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash.
