Mr Wurtz criticises "slide to Liberalism"

Strasbourg, 20/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - Speaking at a press conference, French GUE/NGL President Francis Wurtz strongly criticised what he considers to be excessive support by the European Commission to the Business Summit organised by UNICE one week ago in Brussels. He noted that no less than twelve Commissioners took part in this demonstration for which the closing speech was delivered by President Romano Prodi.
