The company CIBA VISION (Swiss chemical and pharmaceutical group NOVARTIS) will launch a friendly public tender offering on WESLEY JESSEN VISIONCARE so as to create the world's second largest in contact lenses with a market share of 17%, a accumulated turnover of USD 1.4 billion and a workforce of 8,900 people. CIBA VISION is proposing USD 38.50 or share in WESLEY JESSEN, or a total price of USD 785 million.
