Brussels, 09/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - As briefly announced in yesterday's EUROPE, the Commission has approved the repurchase of Courtaulds Textiles by Sara Lee. British group Courtaulds, the number one for lingerie in Great Britain with a turnover of £900 million in 1999 and 20,000 employed, had agreed in March, after much discussion over the acquisition price, on a bid from the American group Sara Lee (sales figures $20 billion for financial year ending July 1999 and 138,000 employed in...
