Commission takes France to Court of Justice for excessive charges to new telecommunications operators

Brussels, 27/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday the Commission decided to take France to the Court of Justice for non-respect of the European Directives on the financing of the net cost of universal service by the telecommunication companies (Directives 96/19/EC and 97/33/EC).
