Fifteen maintain Koch-Weser's candidacy for top post at IMF, despite American opposition

Brussels / Washingon, 29/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Union is maintaining the candidacy of Mr Caio Koch-Weser (Germany) for the post of Director General of the International Monetary Fund despite Washington's rejection of the candidate endorsed unanimously by the Ecofin Council (see yesterday's EUROPE, page 9).
