Brussels, 29/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the American car maker General Motors to acquire all shares in the Swedish passenger car manufacturer Saab, which until now was jointly owned by GM and Investor AB. The European competition services concluded that this change of ownership would not alter the position of the two firms on the European passenger car market, which includes strong competitors in any event.
