ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) media

The British media group UNITED NEWS AND MEDIA (turnover of GBP 2.17 billion in 1999) will be investing EUR 600 million to boost its presence on Internet. The group also plans to consolidate all its web assets within an independent firm that will be listed on the stock exchange within 18 months.
