Commissioner Poul Nielson in Mozambique to assess needs of populations hit by flooding

Brussels, 29/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - Following the unprecedented flooding caused by torrential rains in Mozambique, Poul Nielson, European Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, will be visiting the country from Thursday 2 to Saturday 4 March to assess the magnitude of the damage and the needs of the affected populations. The Commissioner will visit the worst hit regions and meet aid agencies involved in the relief effort in conjunction with Portuguese Secretary of State for Development...
