29/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - Representatives of the European Economic and Social Committee and the Foro consultativo Economico y social del Mercosur, meeting on the fringe of the Ministerial in Vilamoura last week, asked ministers to institutionalise a joint consultative committee, "so as to deepen relations between the civil societies of the two regions". ESC and FCES handed a joint resolution to that effect to the ministers of the two parties.
