Mrs. Randzio-Plath makes a positive assessment of first year of euro - Should another deadlock in the tax package lead to a block in legislation over financial services?

Brussels, 04/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - "One year of Monetary Union also means one year of greater democracy in Europe. With the European Central Bank's democratic obligation to account for its actions, despite its full independence, the transparency of decisions regarding monetary policy has become possible.
