France's LAFARGE has bought the remaining 43.5% share it still did not have in LAFARGE BRAAS ROOFING, German firm dealing in all its European roofing activities. The sale took the form of a main payment in LAFARGE shares (5.7 million of them) and 81 million euro in cash, operation that totalled 739.35 million euro at current rates. In all, LAFARGE's roofing branch employs 12,000 people spread over 200 sites throughout the world for a turnover of 1.6 bn euro.
