Angola, Burundi, Ethiopia and Zambia are the first four African countries to join a programme supported by the European Investment Bank Group aimed at strengthening investment in primary healthcare, EIB Global announced on Tuesday 26 May. With €10 million provided by EIB Global, this technical assistance initiative is intended to help several sub-Saharan African countries develop health projects capable of attracting national and international financing, as part of the ‘Health Impact Investment Platform’ set up with the Islamic Development Bank and the World Health Organization.
