Social security – EU countries issued slightly more portable documents for postings in 2024, according to European Commission

In 2024, the competent public authorities in the EU/EFTA and the UK issued 5.6 million A1 work permits (portable posting document), a slight increase of 0.8% compared with 2023, according to a new European Commission report on the coordination of social security schemes, published on 20 March and reported by the French Representation of Social Protection Institutions.
