At the EU ‘Environment’ Council on Tuesday 17 March, the European ministers reacted to the initial proposals from the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, on carbon pricing (see EUROPE B13829A3).
These will land on the table of European leaders meeting on Thursday 19 March for a European Summit which will discuss, among other things, competitiveness issues and the new challenges posed by the conflict in the Middle East.
