Germany, France, Italy, United Kingdom and Canada call for de-escalation

Gravely concerned by the escalating violence in Lebanon, the leaders of Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and Canada called on Israeli and Lebanese representatives, on Monday 16 March, to meaningfully engage “to negotiate a sustainable political solution”. “We (...) urge for immediate de-escalation”, they stressed in a joint statement.
