European Parliament/EU Council negotiations on critical medicinal products progress slowly

The Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU is expected to face difficulties in reaching an agreement with the European Parliament on the proposed regulation on critical medicinal products (see EUROPE B13800A10) by the end of June.

The second round of inter-institutional negotiations (European Parliament/EU Council/European Commission), held on Monday 16 March, failed to make any significant progress.
