Brussels, 06/03/2026 (Agence Europe) – Following Amazon’s participation in a public hearing of the European Parliament’s Committee on Employment and Social Affairs on 28 January (see EUROPE 13796/25), “the Committee confirmed by letter that the company had acceded to its initial request. As a result, the Conference of Presidents (CoP) has been informed of the European Parliament administration’s decision to initiate the procedure for reinstating long-term accreditation for the representatives of Amazon”, stated the European Parliament’s press service on Friday 6 March. This decision was communicated to the CoP on 5 March, but the reinstatement of permanent badges “is subject to the successful completion of the agreed EMPL mission at Amazon’s premises in the coming months and will be reviewed in six months’ time”.
