On Friday 6 March, the European Commission approved a new series of 176 projects in EU countries that will benefit from the expertise and financial support of the European Technical Support Instrument for reforms (TSI) (see EUROPE 13638/7).
All Member States will receive support to carry out the reforms recommended in the country-specific recommendations made by the European Commission each year as part of the European Semester budget process (see EUROPE 13759/14).
This will prepare the ground for the national and regional partnerships provided for in the proposed 2028–2034 multiannual financial framework, according to the EU institution in a press release.
Other areas of activity include improving national taxation systems, implementing the AI Act within public administrations, and setting up an academy in 2026 to train national civil servants in the changes inherent in electricity market reform.
No fewer than 66 temporary exchanges and study visits will also be organised to stimulate the exchange of best practice between public administrations in different Member States.
