Green light for Romanian scheme to increase storage capacity of electricity generated from renewable energy sources

Brussels, 06/03/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 6 March, the European Commission approved a €150 million public scheme in Romania to increase electricity storage capacity by 2,174 MWh, deeming it compliant with the ‘CISAF’ regulatory framework in support of the ‘Clean Industrial Deal’ (see EUROPE B13588A1).
