European Commission appoints new director at DG DEFIS and new deputy director-general at DG ECFIN

29/01/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 29 April, the European Commission announced the appointment of Tomasz Husak as director for defence policy within its Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS). This Polish national is currently the adviser for relations with the EU Agency for the Space Programme and the European Space Agency within DG DEFIS.
