EU releases €300 million for innovative AI and robotics projects

On Thursday 15 January, the European Commission announced the launch of two new calls for projects in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), totalling €307.3 million, to boost digital innovation and competitiveness in Europe.

€221.8 million will be allocated to projects contributing to the development of AI, in connection with the new ‘Apply AI’ strategy (see EUROPE B13726A20), robotics and quantum technologies. €40 million will be devoted to the ‘Open Internet Stack’...
