Record increase in LNG imports in EU in second quarter of 2025

Published by the European Commission on Thursday, 15 January, the new quarterly reports on the gas and electricity markets reveal that in the second quarter of 2025, gas imports experienced a 9% increase in volume compared to the previous quarter, reaching 75 billion cubic metres. They also show an 8% increase compared to the previous year.
