Brussels, 15/01/2026 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission has launched two consultations running until 12 March 2026 on how to “improve operating conditions for EU venture capital and growth capital fund managers” and access to finance for innovative companies. The aim is to enable fund managers to put in place a simplified regulatory framework and develop their activities. An initial consultation is open to the main stakeholders (fund managers, companies, institutional investors, public authorities and supervisors). The second is open to the general public. The Commission is considering a revision of the regulation on the European Venture Capital Fund (EuVECA) as part of its strategy for a Savings and Investments Union, with a proposal due to be adopted in the third quarter. It is also considering a broader policy initiative that would cover a larger number of venture capital and growth capital fund managers. Link to the consultation: https://aeur.eu/f/k9c (SP)
