European Parliament approves appointment of Henrica Verbeek-Kusters as member of AMLA Executive Board

18/12/2025 (Agence Europe)The European Parliament approved the appointment of Henrica Verbeek-Kusters as a member of the Executive Board of the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA), by 511 votes to 29 with 27 abstentions, on Thursday 18 December in Strasbourg. The Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) and the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) approved this appointment on Monday 15 December (see EUROPE 13773/26). Ms Verbeek-Kusters was Chair of the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units from July 2020 to July 2022. Prior to this, she was Head of the Dutch Financial Intelligence Unit since 2008.
