EU Member States’ ambassadors about to confirm EU Council’s position on digital euro

On Friday 12 December, the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union launched a written procedure designed to ratify, at a technical level, the agreements reached on the ‘single currency’ package, which notably defines the regulatory environment of a future digital euro. Next, confirmation of the EU Council’s negotiating mandates by the Member States’ ambassadors to the EU (Coreper) is expected by the end of the week.
