15/12/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 15 December, the French association Bloom, which defends the preservation of biodiversity, marine habitats and the climate, announced that it had lodged a complaint against MEP Jörgen Warborn (EPP, Swedish), the rapporteur on the ‘Omnibus I’ simplification package on corporate sustainability. The association first accuses the elected representative of having concealed his status as president of the ‘SME Europe’ association when he became rapporteur. This structure for defending SMEs is directly linked to his party, the EPP. Jörgen Warborn has declared this status in his declaration of private interests. On the same day, ten NGOs, including Transparency International, The Good Lobby and the European Federation of Journalists, referred the matter to the Parliament’s Advisory Committee on the Conduct of Members, asking it to examine the risk of a conflict of interest linked to Mr Warborn’s external activities and activities as an MEP.
