European Parliament adopts EU budget for 2026

26/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, signed into law the European Union’s budget for 2026 after it was adopted in plenary session by 419 votes to 185, with 53 abstentions, on Wednesday 26 November. The EU Council formally adopted this budget on Monday 24 November (see EUROPE B13758A20). Total commitments are set at €192.8 billion and total payments at €190.1 billion.
