In voting on the report by Urmas Paet (Renew Europe, Estonian) on the EU’s diplomatic strategy and geopolitical cooperation in the Arctic (510 votes in favour, 75 against and 80 abstentions) on Wednesday 26 November, the European Parliament called on the European Union to adopt a clear Arctic strategy, focused on security and anchored in international law.
