EU ambassador summoned by President Kais Saied for “failure to respect diplomatic rules”

26/11/25 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 25 November, the EU ambassador to Tunisia, Giuseppe Perrone, was summoned by the Tunisian President, Kais Saied, to “express firm protest at the failure to respect diplomatic rules”, according to the Presidency. Kais Saied also explained to the Ambassador his rejection of “resorting to practices outside the official framework recognised by diplomatic custom”.
