18/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 18 November, the spokesperson for the European External Action Service, Anouar El Anouni, welcomed the adoption of a resolution supporting the US peace plan for Gaza by the United Nations Security Council. According to him, this adoption “is an important step in advancing a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict”. On behalf of the EU, he called on all parties to adhere to the provisions of the resolution and to implement the comprehensive plan without delay. The EU, for its part, will continue to work closely with the United Nations and its regional partners to support the implementation of the resolution in compliance with international law, he promised. In particular, the resolution authorises the creation of a Board of Peace and an International Stabilization Force in Gaza, as part of the second phase of the plan. (CG)
