MEPs back agreement with Council of EU on new EMSA mandate

05/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 5 November, the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN) approved, by 41 votes to 4, the agreement with the EU Council on amending the mandate of the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA). Concluded in May (see EUROPE B13644A11), this agreement amends the regulation in order to strengthen EMSA’s role.
