EU Council adopts its negotiating mandate for three ‘omnibus’ texts on chemicals

On Wednesday 5 November, the Council of the EU adopted its position on three legislative texts as part of ‘omnibus VI’ on chemicals (see EUROPE B13676A11). This ‘omnibus’ package aims to simplify the following three Regulations: CLP (Classification, Labelling, and Packaging of Chemicals) (see EUROPE B13737A28), cosmetics, and fertilisers.

The EU Council is ready to negotiate with the European Parliament, which has yet to adopt its negotiating mandate.
