18/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – The European Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy, Jessika Roswall, will launch the EU-Japan Circular Economy Working Group during a trip to Japan from 19 to 22 September. In particular, she will be discussing the strengthening of EU-Japan cooperation on the environment with the Japanese Minister for the Environment, Keiichiro Asao, and the Japanese Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Shinjiro Koizumi, on Friday in Tokyo. On Thursday 18 September, the European Commission reiterated that global cooperation would be essential to achieve a more circular and resilient economy. On Monday 22 September, Jessika Roswall will be taking part in a discussion on solutions to textile pollution, as part of the Circular Economy Days. The European Commission launched a consultation on its forthcoming circular economy legislation at the beginning of August (see EUROPE 13693/26). (FS)
