Euro area inflation at 2.0% in August

17/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – In August, the annual inflation rate remained unchanged at 2.0% in the euro area compared to July, according to data published by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Wednesday 17th September. In the EU as a whole, it also remained stable at 2.4%. The highest annual rates were observed in Romania (8.5%), Estonia (6.2%) and Croatia (4.6%), while the lowest rates were recorded in Cyprus (0.0%), France (0.8%) and Italy (1.6%).
