17/09/25 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 17 September, the ambassadors of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) held a policy debate on the objectives and possible outcomes of the seventh EU-African Union Summit, to be held on 24 and 25 November in Luanda, Angola (see EUROPE 13676/29). According to one source, many delegations stressed the importance of the summit in strengthening the partnership with the African continent. Coreper is due to return to the preparations for this summit at the beginning of October, on the basis of a draft declaration. (BD)
