15/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – Roxana Mînzatu, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness, and the ministers responsible for vocational education and training (VET) in the EU Member States, the EU candidate countries and the EEA countries, together with the European social partners, endorsed the ‘Herning Declaration’ (Denmark) on Friday 12 September, calling for intensified collaboration within the EU over the period 2026-2030 to make vocational education and training (VET) more appealing, inclusive and aligned with labour market demands, according to a press release. “This important initiative will help pave the way for a European strategy to strengthen vocational education, set to be unveiled next year”.
