European Commission close to mandate to negotiate UK and Canadian participation in Canadian SAFE instrument

Next week, the Council of the European Union could grant a mandate to the European Commission to negotiate with the United Kingdom and Canada the participation of these two third countries in projects supported by the ‘SAFE’ instrument for granting loans to EU Member States to increase their military spending (see EUROPE B13705A18).
