Despite national differences, Danish Presidency of EU Council reaffirms determination to adopt 2040 climate target in September

Climate policy crept into discussions at the informal meeting of European energy ministers in Copenhagen, on Friday 5 September, two weeks ahead of the extraordinary Environment Council in Brussels, scheduled in order to attempt to agree on the EU’s 2040 climate target.
