Agence Europe was saddened to learn that Paul Collowald died in Brussels on Tuesday, 8 July, at the age of 102.
A Strasbourg-based journalist with the Nouvel Alsacien and then a correspondent for the daily newspaper Le Monde, Mr Collowald met French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman in August 1949, during the first session of the Council of Europe.
