14/07/2025 (Agence Europe) – To support people-to-people contacts between the EU and Indonesia, the “European Commission has adopted a visa cascade decision for Indonesia, ensuring a much quicker and easier access to multiple-entry visas”, announced Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Sunday 13 July, alongside the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto. “It means that from now on, Indonesian nationals visiting the EU for a second time will be eligible for multi-entry Schengen visas. This will make it easier to visit, invest, study and connect. In short, we are building a bridge between our societies”, said the President. Indonesia is one of the third countries whose nationals require a visa to enter the Schengen area. (SP)
